Most People Don’t but You Do

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good work, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

God has made each of us unique and in His image. When we feel different than those around us, God helps us remember that because we are. We’re intentionally unlike anyone who has come before us or anyone who will come after.  We give all of who we are to God.

Most people don’t do what you do, love what you love, or feel the kind of passion you feel about a particular thing. This can make us feel like something is wrong with us. But I started thinking about this recently, and I realized we’re in pretty good company if we feel like we’re not like most people.

After all: Most people don’t build an ark.  Most people don’t lead people through the desert to the Promised Land. Most people don’t die on a cross to save the world.

But aren’t we glad one person did each of these things? If most people don’t do what you do and you’re passionately pursuing Jesus with your life, then it’s probably not just a human plan. The heartbeat of God is probably somewhere within it.  We need Jesus, just Jesus to fulfill that purpose, complete that project, or bring that gift to the world in a way no one else can.

MOST PEOPLE DON’T …BUT YOU DO!
