Pursuing God’s Intimate and Unconditional Love

Intimacy with God begins by receiving His love. We must receive God’s love before we can give it! We must receive God’s love in order to love God. Did you know that God wants us more than we want Him? I know that His love fills us up and sustains us, and we must proactively receive and pursue this relationship with the Father. If we realized this was our greatest treasure, then we would whole heartedly pursue it.

God loves us so much that he paid the price for our sin with the death of His Son with Jesus Christ. God gave everything for me and you!! Even more amazing, this love has no conditions, no strings attached. It is a free gift. The implications of these two truths are beyond what we can understand or imagine. God’s love for us produces wholeness in our life and a love for others. This reality is based on these truths:

  • God’s unconditional love is not earned and meets our deepest needs.
  • God’s love for others through us is unlimited.
  • We are never alone; God is always with us and will never leave or forsake us.
